Giorgio Galletti

Giorgio Galletti is an architect with extensive experience in the design and restoration of historic gardens. He worked as an official at the Soprintendenza per i Beni Ambientali e Architettonici in Florence, where he directed the Ufficio Ville, Parchi e Giardini. In this position, he supervised the masterplan for the restoration and conservation of the Boboli Gardens located in Florence, in 2000. Galletti has also been heavily involved in cultural activities, having participated in numerous national and international conferences on the subject of historic gardens. Since 2016, he has been a member of the IOMOS-ISCCL commission for the revision of the ICOMOS IFLA Garden Charter and is the author of numerous scientific publications on historic gardens. In addition to focusing on private garden design and historic garden restoration, he teaches as a contract professor at the Master’s Degree Course and the two-year Master’s Degree Course in Landscape Architecture at the University of Florence.

Since 2017 he has collaborated on a permanent basis with F+A Srltp.
